      Oscilloscope clock

This is an attempt to scratch build a CRT clock as seen in several examples of oscilloscope clocks on the web here, here, there and here. I'm using the display from an old medical ultrasound device, which has X and Y (as well as intensity) inputs but no time base generator.

Initial efforts with a PIC driving a MAX520 DAC are disappointing. It appears that the I2C interface, while flexible, will be too slow to create a display of sufficient resolution, at least using PICBASIC to control the DAC.
